The Great American Adventure Continues

Well, the Great American Adventure continues; this is the vicarious trip I am taking through my daughter if you recall!
The early part of the week saw my daughter hit Dallas where she went for a couple of days with her host, my very good friend. I don't know, if it were me there in person, I would be soaking up the history like a sponge: I'd want to visit Southfork Ranch
[waddaya mean Dallas wasn't real? Oh, really? oh ... Haha!] and the grassy knoll. In fact, both her Mother and I said she must go there and take a picture. But no, boring, not interested. Instead? Macy's (?) and Tiffany's! Oh well, this is the same kid who, at around the age of 10, when I was showing my intimate knowledge of the great designers, said "Oh, Daddy, no-one wears Versace any more!" Go figure!
I don't want this post to come over as criticism of her in any way. The very fact that she took it upon herself to go in the first place and the very fact that she has the opportunity to live America thanks to my good friend rather than shuttling from pace to place and motel to motel is to her great credit. Though, they did stay a couple of nights in a motel over the weekend and obviously in Dallas but she is still experiencing the benefit of local knowledge from my friend and her familiy.
Talking of Dallas, I said I wouldn't mention that Becky managed to flood the bathroom in the motel in Dallas where they stayed so I wont! Sorry, Baby, couldn't resist it!
